Dr Gerda UNbecoming help me and my family to find our feet after we relocated from South Africa to Chicago for my husband's career. Leaving a career of 22 years behind to find myself in a new country where I have to start to build a new life, navigating the new culture, and helping our teenage daughter adjust to the American school system was far harder than I could ever imagine. It was a grieving process, but Gerda was a true north for me. She and her family have been through it themselves and that made all the difference. Someone that truly understood where I came from and why these feelings were so overwhelming. She always supported me with great advice and her own learnings from her own experience. I truly do not know how we would have survived this past year without all her backup and support.
